Yorkshire Pudding

Genap 2 bulan dah beli buku taste Baking dari Books of Charity, tapi tk pernah cuba buat...tiba2 hari ni mama teringin lak nak mencuba resepi kat dalam buku ni...Mama cuba yang senang dulu, yang bahannya tak susah nak cari dan memang ada kat rumah...tenguk punya tenguk Yorkshire Pudding ni lah yang paling mudah, lagi pun yang best tu boleh difrozenkan pulak hehe....






 
Yorkshire Pudding


1 cawan tepung gandum

100ml susu segar

60ml air

1 biji telor

Secubit garam

Sedikit minyak untuk disapu pada acuan

1      Panaskan oven sehingga 220 drjh C, gas 7

)      Ayak tepung gandum dan campurkan secubit garam

3     Pukul telor dengan air menggunakan garpu hingga sebati

4      Tuangkan bahan (3) kedalam tepung dan gaul rata

5      Kemudian masukkan susu dan kacau lagi hingga sebati

6      Sapu acuan dengan sedikit minyak dan panaskan dalam oven selama 5 minit

7     Tuangkan bancuhan ke dalam acuan dan bakar selama 25-30 minit/sehingga kuning keemasan

8      Dah masak , angkat dan taburkan icing sugar diatasnya…


*Boleh dimakan bersama jem strawberry, blueberry dan kastad

*YP ini boleh disejukbekukan

Churros

Satu lagi resepi dari sahabatku Shanty...terima kasih Shan...








Churros. ( Recipe from Australian Gourment)

2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oi...l.
300g (2 cups) plain flour, sifted
Peanut or canola oil, for deep-frying
110g (1/2 cup) raw sugar
1 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
Hot chocolate, optional, to serve

Combine oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 2 cups water in a saucepan, bring to the boil, then add flour and stir vigorously until mixture is smooth and comes away from side of pan. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Place half the mixture in a piping bag fitted with a 2cm star tube and pipe 14cm-long lengths onto a large piece of baking paper.
Heat oil in a deep-fryer or a large saucepan to 190C, then, using a spatula to transfer fritters into oil, fry fritters, in batches, until golden. Drain on absorbent paper and keep warm in a low-temperature oven while cooking remaining fritters.
Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle over fritters.
Serve churros immediately, with mugs of bowls of hot chocolate, if using.


 
Jom buat churros tanpa telur pula

Ingredients

1 cup water
... 2 1/2 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 quarts oil for frying
1/2 cup white sugar, or to taste
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine water, 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar, salt and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
Heat oil for frying in deep-fryer or deep skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Pipe strips of dough into hot oil using a pastry bag. Fry until golden; drain on paper towels.
Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll drained churros in cinnamon and sugar mixture.



Cream Puff berinti durian




Buat dah sebulan lebih tapi baru sekarang berkesempatan untuk kemaskinikan blog...dulu line tak bagus, tapi sejak akhir2 ni Alhamdulillah line laju....jadi semua masakan yang terpendam tu boleh diluahkan hehe....






Cream puff berinti durian(leh tukar dengan perisa lain)
Doh:
125gm  tepung gandum
2 suduteh baking powder
100gm butter
250ml air
½ sdteh gula
3 bj telur
-          Masak air bersama butter & gula hingga sebati
-          masukkan   tepung dan kacau hingga pekat
-          sejukkan
-          bila dah sejukkan pukulkan telur sebiji2(akk guna spatula je) hingga sebati dengan doh
-          masukkan dalam piping beg dan ketepikan

Inti durian
1 cawan air
½ cawan susu cair
1 cawan durian(resepi asalnya jagung dalam tin, tapi stok tkde ..durian lak yang ada..maka belasah je)
½ cwn tepung kastad
5 sudubesar gula
-          campurkan semua bahan dalam kuali atau periuk, kacau hingga pekat dan agak2 boleh dipaipkan ke dalam puff
-          sejukkan dulu baru paipkan dalam puff
-          sodap!!!

Vanila Slice

Bila ternampak vanila slice yang dibuat oleh sahabatku Shanty Suziana...amatlah teringin, tapi takut tak menjadi.Berkali-kali resepinya ku baca dan cuba fahami....maklumlah mama bukan pandai sangat cakap mat saleh ni...Puff Pastry sheet dah pun mama beli di Tesco...akhirnya hari ni mama beranikan juga membuatnya...tawakal jelah...nilah dia vanila slice yang mama teringin sangat nak buat tu...nampak sedap, mana taknya manis hehe...













Vanila Slice

INGREDIENTS

2 bought puff pastry sheets
250ml (1 cup) milk
1 vanilla bean, split
3/4 cup corn flour
1/2 cup custard powder
220g (1 cup) caster sugar
750ml (3 cups) thickened cream
50g unsalted butter
3 egg yolks
Icing sugar, to dust

METHOD
1.     Preheat oven to 210°C. Line a 23cm square pan with aluminium foil, so that the foil comes up over the sides (this allows you to lift out the slice).
2.     Place each pastry sheet on a baking tray lined with non-stick baking paper, then bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside to cool. Once cool, place 1 pastry sheet, cooked-side up, in bottom of pan. (You may need to trim it slightly to fit.)
3.     Place milk in a pan over medium heat. Scrape in vanilla seeds and add bean too. Warm gently, then set aside for 10 minutes.
4.     Place cornflour, custard powder and caster sugar in a pan. Strain milk, discarding bean, into pan with cornflour and whisk until smooth. Add cream, then return to heat, stirring constantly, over low heat until the mixture thickens and boils. Add butter, stirring well to combine, then remove from heat and whisk in egg yolks, one at a time, until smooth. Pour into pastry-lined pan and set aside to cool slightly before placing other piece of pastry, cooked-side up, on top. Refrigerate overnight.
5.     Remove from pan, cut into squares and dust with icing sugar.

Sori ye sebab bagi resepi bahasa Mat Saleh sebab belum berkesempatan untuk menterjemahkan ke Bahasa Melayu...sapa yang faham & terasa nak buat silakan...memang sedap kuih ni...tak rugi cuba. Terima kasih pada Shanty Suziana yang dah banyak bagi resepi yang sedap untuk mama cuba, walaupun ada yang tak menjadi, atas kesilapan teknik bukan resepinya...bila cuba kali kedua, ianya menjadi perfect!!
